General Info
Do you have a front desk?
No, there is no front desk at the inn. The property and rooms are accessed through unique, secure door codes provided only to guests. We can always be reached at 845-266-6262 or 845-264-5552 with any questions or concerns.
Are your rooms handicap accessible?
The Queen’s Suite in Chapman House is ADA accessible. Unfortunately, our other rooms are not accessible.
Can you hear the train from the rooms?
We are called Station Inn for a reason! Our location is very convenient but does mean you should expect to hear periodic train whistles. We provide ear plugs in all rooms. If you are especially sensitive to noise, we recommend the Chapman House suites.
Do you provide breakfast?
No, we do not provide breakfast. All our rooms do come equipped with Nespresso machines to make sure you get your caffeine fix first thing! There is also tea in our common areas.
Find pastries at McKinney and Doyle, pastries and breakfast sandwiches at Sunflour Bakery, breakfast burritos at La Guadalapana, huevos rancheros and other dishes at Main Street Cafe, egg sandwiches at Vinny’s Deli or Quick Stop — all within walking distance.
Do you allow dogs or other pets?
We love your animals, but unfortunately cannot accommodate them in our rooms. Any guest found to be in violation of this policy will be charged a cleaning fee.
Are there Ubers/Lyft/other rideshare options?
Ubers and Lyfts are very limited in our area. We recommend using nearby Segundos Taxi — call or text (845) 264-3020 to book.
Parking
Where do I park when staying at Chapman House?
There is free parking in our dedicated lot behind Chapman House.
To enter the lot, enter 15 Memorial Avenue into your GPS and make sure you have driving directions selected. (The entrance is tricky: you need to enter from Smith Street, which is a one-way road that comes out onto Memorial Avenue. You cannot enter the parking lot via car from Memorial Avenue.) Chapman House is the last driveway on the left before the stop sign at the bottom of the road. We share the parking lot with another building. There are “no trespassing” signs on the first set of stone pillars; continue on and go through the second set of stone pillars to access our parking spots.
Can I park on the street?
Guests at any of the three properties can park on Memorial Ave or any other streetside location within the Village of Pawling for up to three hours during the hours of 8am-6pm. Overnight parking on Memorial Ave is permitted ONLY from April 15 - Nov 15. For a one-night stay during this time, you will be able to park in the spots on Memorial Avenue without needing to move your car, assuming you check in at normal check-in time (3pm or later) and leave by check-out time (11am or earlier) the next day. If you are staying for longer than a day, please use the Station Inn parking lot at 26 East Main Street (see more information below).

Where is the Station Inn parking lot?
The Station Inn parking lot is located in the back-upper level of the CVS parking lot at 26 East Main Street. Enter from East Main Street as if you are going to CVS, drive straight and go up the hill to the area marked as reserved for Station Inn/Station Works. You will see a set of numbered parking spaces. Please use any of the spots numbered 1 through 7.
Can I park in the driveway at 1894 House or Village Green Apartments?
1894 House guests can use the gravel driveway to the right of the inn, but it is first-come, first-served. The Village Green apartments driveway is the one lane hugging the building on the left. Please don’t block anyone in if either driveways are occupied. Some days there may be garbage bins out using the space.
CHECK-IN/OUT
Can I check in early or check out late?
In some cases, we can accommodate early check-ins and/or late check-outs. Each will incur an additional charge dependent upon request. If you would like to request either, please contact us with as much advance notice as possible.
I haven’t gotten any confirmation or information about check-in. What should I do?
Guests receive a confirmation email at the time of booking. Additionally, we send an email about one week before your stay with information about your reservation, parking, and more. If you do not see either, please check your spam filter. If you are still having issues, feel free to reach out.
Around noon on the day of your reservation, we send a reminder text to the number listed on the reservation with the door codes to access the exterior entrance and your room.
NEARBY ATTRACTIONS
How far are you from Daryls House?
We are a 4 minute (2.3 mile) drive from Daryls House along Route 22. The route is not walkable. If needed, we recommend Segundos Taxi — call or text (845) 264-3020 to book.
How far are you from the Appalachian Trail?
The inn is located in the village of Pawling, 4.3 miles from the Appalachian Trail Metro-North stop at 991 State Route 55 in Pawling.
Do you provide a shuttle from Daryls House/the Appalachian Trial/other attractions?
We do not provide shuttles. We recommend Segundos Taxi — call or text (845) 264-3020 to book.
DISCOUNTS/GROUPS
Do you offer block reservations or discounts for weddings, special events, or groups?
We are happy to work with you to provide rooms at a discount for your special event or group. Please send details such as dates and room needs to stationinnpawling@gmail.com
Is there a hiker discount?
We love hosting hikers but do not offer a discount.
PAYMENT
Can I pay at check-in?
No. Since we do not have a front desk on site, all payment must take place electronically, ahead of time. You will not receive codes unless full payment has been taken.
Why are there two charges on my card?
We process half of the room charges on your credit card approximately two weeks prior to check-in, and the other half soon after check-in. If you see two charges on your credit card, that is to be expected. If you book less than two weeks before your reservation, the entire amount will be charged at that time.
